1975 By the mid 1970s there were only 50-100 physicians who specialized in homeopathy in the United States, and yet by the mid-1980s, there were an estimated 1,000 physicians specializing in homeopathy. According to an article in the Washington Post, the numbers of physicians in the U.S. who specialize in homeopathy doubled from 1980 to 1982. Yet by the year 2001, approximately 3,000 other health professionals in the U.S. were using homeopathic medicines, including dentists, veterinarians, physician assistants, nurses, naturopaths, acupuncturists, chiropractors, and psychologists. |
