Homeopathy is a demanding medical discipline, requiring rigorous study of our materia medica and mastery of the intricacies of repertorization. Case taking is also an exacting endeavor, learned early but refined slowly over many years of clinical experience. Once the symptoms are gleaned, however, the truly exquisite work begins: how to differentiate among them to find the genius of the disease and the appropriate remedy, and then how to gauge the patient’s response to the treatment and manage the case.
Building on his “Back in the Saddle” course (previous attendance not required) and in response to requests from his students, Dr. Joe Kellerstein will focus specifically on the analysis and subsequent management of headache and backache cases. Whereas the earlier course concentrated on materia medica and training the student to appreciate – not memorize – symptomatology, here we begin with cured cases from Dr. Kellerstein’s personal practice and from published journals. He will then model strategies of approach to the case, linking them to repertory rubrics, materia medica entries, and finally, to posology – in other words, the full utilization of the Hahnemannian method.
This case-centered course will include these conditions:
- Fibromyalgia
- Sciatica
- Back pain
- Febrile conditions with back pain
- Back injuries
- Migraine headaches
- Tension headaches
- Neuralgic headaches
You will also have a ringside seat to Dr. Kellerstein’s unique case taking techniques, which include Clean Language and Neurolinguistic Programming. Remedies will come to life as their application in specific cases is described by a vastly experienced teacher in his trademark educated, yet relatable, style. As a result, the image of the remedy will become consolidated in your mind, creating a wholeness of study and confidence in its employment in daily practice.
About Dr. Kellerstein
Dr. Kellerstein, Doctor of Chiropractic and Naturopathic Medicine, is both a gifted teacher and a respected scholar of homeopathy. He has been in practice since 1983 providing chiropractic and homeopathic care. His principal homeopathic teachers include André Saine and Robin Murphy.
Dr. Kellerstein was the first Chairman of the Department of Homeopathy with the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. He currently teaches a post-graduate program, Hahnemannian Perspectives, and also lectures at the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine. He has completed a 66 hour course on The Organon for WholeHealthNow.
